RELEASED: 2.24.2004 PRODUCED: 40 Boxes DESIGNER: Eric Fuller SIZE: 5 x 3 X 3.5 Inches PRICE: $140 (SOLD OUT) COMMENTS: This puzzle box was insipred by the traditional Japanese sliding panel puzzle boxes. After the first 2 moves you may peek inside the box, but it takes 16 moves to fully open it. The box opens in an unusual manner. It does not use the traditional keys; instead there are a total of three functioning locks built into the four sliding panels. They interact to make the box open unconventionally. It is very difficult to open by simply moving panels at random. Only by analyzing the functions of the panels will the solution be found. This puzzle box was crafted in a variety of foreign exotic and premium domestic wood types. It's construction is very sturdy, and it has been designed to last a very long time if not abused. Pictures of the types, in addition to current availability, can be seen below. This item is sold out and no longer available. Our Marketplace is the best source for discontinued work.
