1935 Little Orphan Annie Secret Society Decoder

This was the first year that the Little Orphan Annie decoder was released by Ovaltine approximately 90 years ago! The decoder measures 1 1/4 inches with the year, "Radio Orphan Annie's SS" and two skeleton keys embossed upon it. The "SS" stood for "Secret Society."In order to decode secret messages, numerals on the dial were rotated to match up with letters on the metal frame. These decoder badges are getting very difficult to find! This particular piece is in good condition and rotates freely. The pinback is also intact on the back of the decoder!
