1945 Captain Midnight Code-O-Graph Decoder Badge The badge is approximately 2.5" tall badge with a revolving red dial and clear plastic center wheel which was used as a magnifier. In order to decode secret messages, letters on the dial were rotated to match up with numerals on the metal frame. During the war, the production of these pieces were limited and when Ovaltine ran out they sent apology letter and substituted a premium from earlier years. These decoder badges are getting very difficult to find. The decoding ring rotates freely. The pin on this pinback is intact. Please view the pictures carefully prior to purchase.
