1946 Captain Midnight's Secret Squadron Service Decoder Badge Pin Vintage Rare The badge is approximately 2.5" tall badge with a revolving red dial and mirrored center wheel. In order to decode secret messages, letters on the dial were rotated to match up with numerals on the metal frame. During the war, the production of these pieces were limited and when Ovaltine ran out they sent apology letter and substituted a premium from earlier years. These decoder badges are getting very difficult to find. The decoding ring rotates freely. The pin on this pinback is in intact. Please view the pictures carefully prior to purchase.
