DESIGNER: Yasuhiro Hashimoto MATERIAL: Ash, Padauk CLASSIFICATION: Assembly SIZE: 2.5in x 2.5in x 3.4in The artisan series is being discontinued; once these puzzles are gone they will not be remade. 4L is one of my favorite puzzles ever and I"m glad to finally have permission to make them available on Cubicdissection. It was awarded an Honorable Mention at IPP 2015 and is FAR trickier than it looks. The goal is to pack the four L shaped pieces into a very simple box. There are two different types of L piece (fat and thin) and several ways they could fit. The final solution is so creative and tricky I don't want to say more for fear of giving hints. Construction of this puzzle is very sturdy with shouldered edges and milled, solid pieces. This puzzle is shipped disassembled. This item is sold out and no longer available.
