8 Burr Box by Akio Kamei

The 8 Burr Box Puzzle was developed as a Christmas present for Karakuri Members in 2019. The crafter describes this work by stating the following: "Based on “8 BURR” (K-9) produced in 1982, it was finished in a Karakuri box. The box is assembled like an interlocking puzzle, and a mechanism like Karakuri box is built in the lid. It doesn't fall apart, so it looks like a kumiki, but it functions as a Karakuri box." Crafted by Akio Kamei and constructed of Walnut and Keyaki (Zelkova). Exterior measures 3.15 x 3.15 x 3.15 inches (80 x 80 x 80 mm). Secret space measures 1.26 x 1.26 x 1.26 inches (32 x 32 x 32 mm).
