In the maker's words

This work is the third in the series of Hiroshi Iwahara's Bean Bag Drawer boxes and was designed as a Karakuri Christmas present for 2016. To solve the puzzle, you must find the deep inner space of the drawer. To quote the crafter, "It’s a bit difficult, but when you rotate the dial, you can open the second space. But, the dial on the top does not move. Please feel the subtle resistance of the spring and combined movement of the drawer and the red plate." Can be a VERY frustrating puzzle and patience is required. Crafted in November 2016, this puzzle measures approximately 5.2 x 3.1 x 2.6 inches or 132 x 78 x 66 mm. Made of Walnut, Padoauk, Maple and Magnolia and contains a torsion spring. Comes with original gift box and opening diagram.
