Constrained Burrs

The concept was interesting, the solution tricky, and of course the finished puzzle displayed very nicely. He then followed it up with three more complimentary designs, each with a unique solution. I knew immediately I wanted to make them, and so now I'm very glad to be able to share with you this series of Constrained burrs. I think this set is a unique concept and is likely to be a classic. The Bookend burr is the easiest of the set and a good place to start. With a unique level 10.4 solution it's no pushover, but the extra length added to the pieces to interact with the frame helps determine piece location and in some cases orientation. A fun puzzle and a worthy beginning to the set. The Clamped burr is a very high level 15.3.5, and is quite difficult. Because the piece lengths vary for each axis, the solver does have a significant clue as to piece location; thus the Looped burr is somewhat trickier to solve. That said the Cla
