RELEASED: 9.6.2008 PRODUCED: 11 Copies DESIGNER: Stewart Coffin CRAFTSMAN: Kerry Verne MATERIAL: Sapelle COMMENTS: The first puzzle offering from our newest Cubicdissection Member Artist! Sure to become a classic down the road :) Kerry started out with one of Coffin's earliest designs (#10) which no one has made for a while to my knowledge. Giant Steps is an Altekruse variation which results in a very unique shape. While not extremely difficult to solve, it is a fun diversion. The work is quite nice, with just a bit of looseness which can be an advantage if you live in a humid climate or do not store your collection in a climate controlled environment. There is also a tiny bit of tearout on some of the edges, most of which is obviated by the laborious beveling which has been applied to every edge on every stick.
