In the maker's words

The Lighthouse Keeper Puzzle was crafted for select Karakuri members in 2020. The crafter describes this work in the following manner, " The lighthouse keeper watches over the ships and stares into the night. Like the waves crashing, sometimes opening his heart to the visitors. He spends his time there in serene peace and quiet. This karakuri box is similar to automata. The lighthouse keeper moves by turning the light. You will be able to open the drawer in due course. " It measures approximately 170 x 95 x 73 mm and is crafted in Japanese Walnut, Walnut, Maple, Satine, Lacquer tree and Brass. The storage space measures 70 x 46 x 19 mm Arrives with opening instructions and gift box.
