In the maker's words

RELEASED: 9.20.2013 PRODUCED: 44 Copies DESIGNER: Tamas Vanyo CRAFTSMAN: Eric Fuller MATERIAL: Carolina Ash, Bubinga / Shedua / Peruvian Walnut COMMENTS: As soon as I saw this design I knew I had to make it. It was a lot of work and frankly I'm not charging as much as I should for it, but it's such a cool puzzle I have no regrets. The eight pieces pack into the oddly shaped frame only one way and in one very specific order. A fair amount of jockeying around is necessary to fit them all. With a unique level 2.3.9.7.5 solution, it's doable but not trivial. A very unique concept from a new designer; I am looking forward to whatever else Tamas comes up with! Constructed of choice ash for the frame and exotic wood for the pieces, the tolerances on this puzzle are excellent. Operation is very precise at normal humidity. Furthermore the puzzle is quite strong; each frame joint is reinforced with shoulder joinery. All pieces are constructed with through cross pieces, which is MUCH stronger than a simple engrain glue joint. Endgrain gluing will nearly always fail over time; this puzzle on the other hand is made to last. I am very pleased with how it turned out. 44 copies made for sale, each
