RELEASED: 12.18.2005 PRODUCED: 24 Copies DESIGNER: Oskar Van Deventer CRAFTSMAN: Eric Fuller MATERIAL: Various Hardwoods COMMENTS: Ever since I began collecting I have always wanted a copy of this puzzle! Therefore, I was very excited when I contacted Oskar and was given permission to make it. A scarce puzzle in the past, very limited quantities were made by Tom Lensch and Trevor Wood. Trevor interpreted the puzzle with very solid thicknesses and construction. Tom's, on the other hand, was painstakingly made using ultra thin wood to resemble actual matchboxes. I have taken a sort of in between path, with moderately thin stock and dimensions which stylize the puzzle and make it more compact in appearance. It's very nice when a design allows for interpretation from the craftsman, and I especially enjoyed making this one! The matchbox puzzle consists of five matchbox shaped pieces which can be put together such that each box is filled. With two solutions, the puzzle is as tricky as it is fun to look at and manipulate! This puzzle is constructed with .125" wood stock. The fit is precise yet not too tight. The individual matchbox covers and the drawers are all constructed using rabbited
