In the maker's words

This work was designed and sold through a 2025 Karakuri Lottery and was a limited release. Fun to open with a very simple opening mechanism. The crafter describes their work as, " Apparently, some owls become elongated when they are startled. In fact, it seems that this is to hide from predators...? This is a remake of a Christmas gift from the Karakuri Club in 2014. The material and eye design have been changed. ." Crafted in Chinese Quince, Kaya and Walnut wood. Measures approximately 91 x 610x 47 mm. with a storage space of 22.5 x 22.5 x 16 mm. Arrives with opening instructions and gift box.
