In the maker's words

This version of the XY Puzzle box is beautifully decorated with a MUKU Yosegi and Walnut Ichimatsu design. The XY puzzle was originally designed for the Karakuri Party in Hakone in 2013. Each is stamped by Hideaki Kawashima and measures 3.4 x 3.4 x 3.4 inches. Tongue and groove joints are used on each panel, forming an interesting pattern. The opening sequence is very tricky as many panels shift in two different directions. 13 steps are required to unveil the secret space. Secret compartment measures approximately 1.65 deep x .75 inches wide. Will arrive in gift box and opening instructions.
