Released in 1969 by Disneyland, this box will bring back childhood memories. This particular Puzzle Box is the LARGER version of the Haunted Mansion Panel Chest and does show MORE wear than other pieces that we have sold. Slides are crafted on each side of this box as it requires OVER 20 steps to open. MUCH more than the smaller Disney box. There is a small splinter of the end panel missing which is shown in the picture. There is some warpage and the slides slide freely when the box is tipped. Inside shows an old Disneyland Price tag of a bit over $2 but doubt that it is original as I believe the price was more on release but am not certain. Wear on these boxes are quite common as many were purchased for childhood souvenirs. THIS BOX DOES HAVE SOME DINGS AND MARKINGS AS IT WAS HEAVILY USED. The Haunted Mansion decal is very nice and intact. I believe this box has a hidden drawer also, but am unable to determine if it does for certain. The opening of the main compartment looks shallow so I BELIEVE there is. Can you solve this Box?? These boxes are extremely difficult to find and is sure to go fast!!
