In the maker's words

Due to this Puzzle being crafted as a limited edition or run, it is no longer available for sale. Regrettably we do not think it will be back in stock. Please view our other hard to find puzzles on our Karakuri Trick Box Page. This work was produced for the “7th Karakuri Puzzle Idea Contest and was a limited edition piece”. Crafted in the shape of a foot this puzzle, does contain a small secret space. The work was explained as; "This foot represents a unique Japanese story. Japanese people walk around their house without shoes on. So they sometimes hit their pinky toe against the corner of a piece of furniture in the room. Someone declared, "I want to change the pain to laughter when I hit my foot on the corner of furniture". So the judges and the craftsman decided to make it." Original idea by Tsuyoshi Nagasawa and hand-crafted by Akio Kamei and Osamu Kasho. Released in June 2015, this work is made of Katsura, Maple and Walnut. Measures 177 x 78 x 72 mm. or 6.97 x 3.07 x 2.83 inches. Will arrive in gift box and opening diagram.
