In the maker's words

This work was designed as a 2014 Karakuri Christmas Present and was a limited release. Fun to open with a very simple opening mechanism. The crafter describes their work as, "Some owls, when suddenly surprised, elongate their bodies to appear thin. It seems the reason for this is to ‘disappear’ and hide from predators." Crafted in Maple, Cherry and Walnut wood. Measures approximately 3.6 x 2.4 x 1.9 inches (91 x 61 x 47 mm.) Arrives with opening instructions and gift box.
