Sleep Lion Japanese Puzzle Box by Osamu Kasho

This puzzle was designed for the Karakuri Puzzle Party in Hakone 2018 and is being released from a private collection. The work is described by the crafter in the following manner, "The lion is sleeping. He might wake up in the process of opening this box. Please enjoy watching his face change with every step. There is an inner lid after you open the first lid. It has another trick to open each one." This puzzle requires two opening sequences! Measures approximately 4.41 x 4.33 x 3.58 inches (112 x 110 x 91 mm.) Hidden Space Measures approximately 1.65 x .94 x .91 inches (42 x 24 x 23 mm.) Crafted in Walnut, Mizuki (Dogwood), Keyaki, Magnolia and Rose Wood. Arrives with opening diagram and gift box.
