This is the #32 Puzzle in the Stickman collection. Created and crafted by Robert Yarger June-September 2017. Crafted in Leopardwood with Yosegi inlays, the puzzle measures approximately 6 x 4 x 3 inches. The crafter describes this work as: "This puzzle box reflects my first (and perhaps final) attempt at the tradition of hand-crafting decorative yosegi. It is also my long-over-due tribute to the Japanese culture, that long ago inspired the original concepts of puzzle boxes. The design has a mostly traditional Japanese feel and operation, though I have added some of my own unique Stickman elements as well. For example, some sliding some panels cause others to automatically move in response, moves do not always produce expected results, and its lid comes off in a unique way not found in any other Japanese puzzlebox I know of." Richard Jenkins, a talented Stickman apprentice, has assisted and collaborated with this impressive work. Requires a minimum of 47 steps to unveil FOUR hidden spaces. One of only 38 crafted! Comes with 12 page illustrated solution booklet.
