Dungeons & Dragons game art, card sleeves, deck boxes, playmats, and sealed product on the Puzzlewick aisle shelves

Puzzlewick accessory aisle · 302 exact products · curated by Robert · reviewed August 24, 2026

Dungeons & Dragons, packed properly.

A complete first adventure, the right reference books, readable dice, and physical table upgrades that serve the story instead of burying it.

The counter answer

Protect the active deck first. Upgrade the recurring annoyance second.

These are not decorative shelf fillers. Each pick has a defined job, an honest drawback, multiple relevant views, and one exact retail identity. Begin on the Initiate or Adventurer shelf. Move to Champion only when repeated play exposes the problem it solves; Grail is the ceiling, never the default.

D&D ownership path

Build your D&D table in the order it earns.

Start with a playable foundation. Add sealed product, protection, transport, and collection storage only when each one solves the next real job.

How the aisle stays honest

Fit, use, ownership pattern, then verdict.

  1. Fit: card dimensions, sleeves, capacity, and public zones.
  2. Use: setup, transport, retrieval, and repeated handling.
  3. Ownership pattern: what experienced players praise and what repeatedly annoys them.
  4. Commerce: exact ASIN, direct CTA, availability review, and removal when a listing no longer represents the product.

Fit claims begin with the game, not the packaging.

We check the game’s current rules and policy, then the manufacturer’s published dimensions and capacity. Community experience informs the catch; it never overrides an official legality rule.

D&D fit facts before checkout.

What dice do I need to play D&D?

One 7-die polyhedral set: a d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and a percentile d10. That covers everything in the rules, but a second d20 is worth having because advantage and disadvantage both have you rolling two d20s at once. Spellcasters end up wanting a pile of extra d6s too — fireball alone is 8d6.

What should I buy first for D&D 5e?

A 7-dice set and the Player's Handbook — that's genuinely all one player needs to sit down at a table. The 2024 Player's Handbook is the current version: 384 pages covering 12 classes, 48 subclasses, and 391 spells, and it's fully compatible with 5e games. If your whole group is brand new, a Starter Set with pre-made characters and a beginner adventure is the easier first step, and you can graduate to the full book after.

What size sleeves fit D&D spell cards?

Standard-size sleeves — the same 66x91mm sleeves used for Magic cards. The official spellbook cards are standard trading-card size at 2.5 by 3.5 inches (about 63.5x88.9mm), so they drop right in. If you're sleeving the Arcane deck, budget for its full 257 cards plus a spare pack, since sleeves split at the worst times.

What size miniatures and battle mat do I need for D&D?

Minis on 1-inch bases and any mat with a 1-inch grid — in D&D, one square equals 5 feet. A Medium creature (that's most player characters) takes up one 1-inch square, while Large monsters sit on 2-inch bases covering a 2x2 area. Most D&D minis are 28mm heroic scale, so figures from different lines mix on the same table without looking off.

Should I buy premium Dungeons & Dragons accessories immediately?

No. Let repeated play expose the actual problem: worn cards, unclear public zones, unsafe transport, slow setup, or difficult retrieval. Premium products should solve one of those jobs.
