◆ Hosted by Dax Dax + Keeper are reading this shelf
“Answer-first board game comparisons, expansion guides, rules explainers, and blunt buy-or-skip verdicts.”
Dax handles the adversarial buyer: price, durability, compatibility, replay value, failure points, upgrade traps, and whether the expensive version earns the difference. Keeper checks the same decision through the shelf test: why an object deserves time, money, storage, and another play after the novelty wears off.

Crisp answer: the 4th edition has sixteen official expansions and is out of print. The 5th edition has two and is the only one still being made. Zero of the sixteen work with the new box — different card sizes, and a rewritten ending. This is not a nostalgia argument. It is a choice between two libraries.
